    length of time for Performance Plan

    Hi Mark and Luis

    In the past with MAO I have done Performance Plans that typically were around 15-16 weeks and were for a HIM. If I remember correctly, I was doing around 5 weeks of interval type training leading up to the race. Is there any advantage of doing the full 20 weeks? Will I receive more "harder training" weeks or is there just more base building in the extra few weeks. This would be for either a HIM or IM. Many thanks!

    Hi Kenny,

    You may get a bit more interval weeks. But the main advantage to doing more training is that you will have more weeks of strength and base work. Those two combined are what really give you good race results. It also affords you the ability to add in some more secondary races, which are also key to having a great race at the end of it all.
