I just signed up for the Maintenance Plan and it calculated a 20 week plan. I start on 31 March 08. My goal race (half-ironman) is 25 Oct 08 (30 weeks out). I want to know if the maintenance plan is too long, in that I will only have 10 weeks for the peak performance plan. I do not recall inputting my goal race date. I am new to the sport and recognize that I need to spend as much time building a good base this year. My goal for the half-ironman is a strong finish while staying healthy and injury-free in the process.
I have been training on my own very consistently since Jan and am really excited about working within a structured plan.
