Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

I currently run in Newton's and LOVE them. I have worn every shoe on the planet and fallen for every gimmick and thought Newton's concept was just another.  I decided to bite the bullet and try them.  They are awesome.  From a person that has chronic back pain after long runs.....Since I have been running in Newtons, I have NONE.  So I need a free pair of Newtons cause this is the first time I have bought the same brand twice in a row and I need a new pair before IM Louisville

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

I started running in Newton's about 3 years ago around the same time I started using MAO for coaching.  Before the switch I had plateaued with my speed and could never break the 1:30 hrs on my 70.3 races.  After several weeks in the Newtons I noticed a change in my running form as I went from a heel striker to a consistent mid-foot runner.  My run splits improved dramatically, now in the low 1:20's, and my full IM run splits are close to breaking 3 hrs.  I have become a Newton Running fan for life!!

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

As I continue on my road to recovery, my choice of footware is vital. In the past three years, I had total hip resurfacing on both hips. Thinking I was ready to become a racer, my training began, and then came to another abrupt halt. I suffered a near fatal bike crash in which I broke both arms and three ribs.

After reconstructive surgery, I am now back to training at 100%, having lost 65 lbs. I completed an OLY distance in June and will compete in Ironman Pocono 70.3 in September. The light weight on Newton shoes provides the protection I need but not the bulk. I am also in the process of transitioning to a more efficient gait, in part for improved running, but also to be more economical, a necessity for hip preservation.

    I greatly appreciate your consideration!

I want to love Newtons and here is your opportunity to turn me into a Newton Fan 4 Life!  Learning more and more about the importance of ”natural running” and the right shoe is part of my quest for knowledge – Efficiency, form and comfort are the most important things to me in my first Ironman.  I hope to be running in Newtons at Ironman Arizona 2012;).

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

Everybody wants something for nothing and we have all heard the best things in life are free. Well, I've never ran in Newtons so I would love to see if they are all hype or just my type!

Seriously speaking I'm a newbie to the sport and I would love to start off on the right foot (or shoe should I say). If Newton's are it I hope you will help me hit the road to my first Tri in the near future.

I'm training for my first race of any distance now, (The Army 10 Miler). After that, a half marathon in DEC, a full in March, and in the next 3-5 years my first Iron Man! I'm excited and I have been training hard. Hopefully I'm doing it in the right shoe.

     Thanks,

    CW2 Aritt Davis, MSARNG

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

Convince an open-minded skeptic. A few years ago I tested a pair of Newtons from Fleet Feet. I liked how they seemed to force me into a forefoot landing, but I felt the ride was harsh and lacked cushioning. I would also have liked the shoe to be more forgiving, since rearfoot landing felt unnatural. Given their price, I was not tempted to roll the dice. The post "Born to Run" minimalist shoe craze ensued, and I'm happy with mostly neutral, minimal cushioning trainers. The Newtons seem to have more structure to them. I'd like to see why.

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

They are the only pair of shoes that can do justice to my ING Run For Something Better orange laces! I need to be sporting them for the NYC Marathon this fall.

Re: Free pair of Newton Shoes!!!!

    Let's do the math:

If I get a free pair of Newton shoes, here are your cash flows:

    Cash flow T0: -$120

With your investment you are getting a very satisfied customer for at least 5 years, resulting in a new pair of Newton shoes every year for the next 5 years

    Cash Flows T1: +$120; T2: +$120; T3: +$120; T4: +$120; T5: +$120 (Assuming a 2% Interest rate)

    Net Present Value:  + $445.60

DON'T LEAVE $445.60 ON TABLE!!!!!!!   SEND ME THOSE FREE NEWTON SHOES!!!!!!!!!
