Overview
Join MarkAllenOnline co-founder and coach Luis Vargas in Winter Park, Colorado for three days of triathlon altitude training. The camp will take place July 14-16, 2010. at the brand new Grand Park Community Rec Center, a short 20 miles away from the spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park. Coach Vargas lived here for two years and is familiar with the training routes. He will share his personal experiences as an atlhete as well as a coach at MarkAllenOnline.com. If you ever wanted to get away from it all here is your opportunity.

|
The camp dates are as follows:
| Wednesday, Thursday and Friday July 14-16, 2010 |
(15 slots available) |
The camp will be geared towards athletes training for an Ironman or a Half Ironman. Athletes are expected to be able to ride up to 5 hours and run up to 2 hours comfortably. Talks will have an informal feel as they will be done during meals as well as on the field. Campers will learn how to train properly in addition to improving their swim and run technique as well as their bike positioning.
Coach Vargas lived for two years in Winter Park. He will personally guide you on some of the most scenic training routes in town. The highlight of the camp will be a 4 to 5 hour ride from Winter Park to the top of Trail Ridge Road (about 11000 ft elevation) in Rocky Mountain National Park. A lot personal attention will be guaranteed as the camp is limited to 15 athletes. If you are in the middle of an Ironman or Half Ironman Training campaign this is a great way to boost your confidence. Athletes coming from sea level are advised to spend an evening in Denver/Boulder before coming up to Winter Park. This will allow your body to get adjusted easier to the altitude. Stay hydrated.

Lodging
There are many great places to stay in Winter Park. You can visit the ski area web site as they handle a lot of lodging options. My recommendation is the Pinnacle Lodge, very convenient for all camp activities and reasonably priced. Ask for the MarkAllenOnline discounted rate of 99.00 single and 109.00 double.
