Overview

Come join us for a weekend of triathlon training and learning at RallySport Health and Fitness Club. Luis Vargas co-founder of MarkAllenOnline a leader in online triathlon training along with RallySports best trainers and coaches will train with you and share their knowledge and experiences in triathlon training.

 The camp dates are as follows:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 9-11, 2010

The camp will be geared towards athletes training for an Olympic distance trithlon or a Half Ironman. Athletes are expected to be able to ride up to 3 hours and run up to 1 hour comfortably. Campers will learn how to train properly in addition to improving their swim and run technique as well as their bike positioning. Talks will have an informal feel as they will be done during meals as well as on the field. A lot personal attention will be guaranteed.

Head Coach

Luis Vargas – Coach Vargas has resided in Boulder for 20 years and is co-founder and coach of MarkAllenOnline.com a coaching service he established with Ironman World Champion Mark Allen in 2001. He has been a multisport athlete since his teenage years when he swam and ran cross country during the same season. Coach Vargas has raced as a triathlon age grouper for 23 years. In his early 30's he was a member of Team USA at the Olympic distance and finished the Hawaii Ironman 6 times with a PR of 9:34. He took a 10 year break from Ironman racing but in 2006 returned to Kona for his 6th finish in 11:25. He is a USAT Level II certified triathlon coach and a USA Cycling Certified Coach.

1:00pm - 1:45pm Lecture endurance training, long sessions and bricks
1:45pm - 2:30pm Lecture Heart Rate Training by Luis Vargas
2:30pm - 3:00pm Lecture Strength Training by Erin Carson
3:15pm - 4:30pm Swim training session

Sunday
7:00am - 8:00am Swim Session
8:00am - 9:00am Breakfast at Rally
9:00am - 9:45am Lecture, Nutrition by Meg Forbes
9:45am - 10:30am Lecture Training with a Power Meter.
11:00am - 1:00pm Long Run
1:20pm - Open Q&A, wrap up, group photo.
