Overview
Boulder Colorado has long been recognized as the best place to train by long
distance athletes all over the world. Coach Luis Vargas will host the Boulder
Triathlon Training Camp June 7-9, 2013. For the past nine years coach Vargas
has hosted training camps in Boulder. This camp is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself into a weekend of all triathlon. We are also delighted to have head coach and 6 times Hawaii Ironman World Champion Mark Allen deliver some of the camp lectures this year. Mark and Luis will share their knowledge as co-founders and coaches of MarkAllenOnline.com. The camp is a perfect blend of learning with
some altitude training in Boulder’s most popular training routes.

The camp dates are as follows:
|
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 7-9, 2013
|
(10 slots available)
|
The camp will be geared towards Iron Distance athletes looking to learn how to train
properly in addition to improving their swim and run technique as well as their
bike positioning. Talks will have an informal feel as they will be done during meals
as well as on the field. Training sessions will be done on the most popular Boulder
routes and when it is time to eat we will meet at some of the best local restaurants
and eateries. The camp will include some long challenging training sessions. We encourage you to be fit for this camp.
The toughest training session will be a 4-5 hour ride to Ward and potentially to Brainar Lake that includes a
steady 5000 ft climb with some very steep sections. This is one of Boulders more known rides. Proper bike gearing is a must. The ride has
a bike path almost the whole way and follows a creek, it is what riding your bike was
meant to be.
