Overview

Boulder Colorado has long been recognized as the best place to train by long distance athletes all over the world. Coach Luis Vargas will host the Boulder Triathlon Training Camp May 9-11, 2008. For the past couple of years coach Vargas has hosted training camps in Boulder. This is his first camp for 2008. This camp is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself into a weekend of all triathlon. Coach Vargas will share his personal experiences as an athlete as well as a coach and co-founder of MarkAllenOnline.com. The camp is a perfect blend of learning with some altitude training in Boulder’s most popular training routes.

The camp dates are as follows:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 9-11, 2008 (4 slots available)

The camp will be geared towards athletes that are wanting to learn how to train properly in addition to improving their swim and run technique as well as their bike positioning. Talks will have an informal feel as they will be done during meals as well as on the field. Training sessions will be done on the most popular Boulder routes and when it is time to eat we will meet at some of the best local restaurants and eateries. The camp will not be a mega training weekend but there will be a little of each sport on Saturday and Sunday. You can very well train at your own pace. The toughest training session will be a 2 hour ride to Jamestown that includes a steady 2000 ft climb. This is coach Vargas personal favorite ride. The ride has a bike path most of the way and follows a creek, it is what riding your bike was meant to be. A lot personal attention will be guaranteed as the camp is limited to 15 athletes.
