At the awards ceremony of the 2003 Hawaii Ironman Peter Reid thanked Mark Allen for his training guidance. Peter had called Mark Allen during the summer. "Mark, I just can’t seem to put anything together this year." "(Mark and Peter) had a lot of email going back and forth and a lot of conversations on how to train, just for (Hawaii)".
